I am on an Air Tran flight from Boston to Minneapolis to present to seminars tomorrow with one of our coaches, Chas Wilson (creator of the RE Phoneburner System). It is amazing to be 35,000 feet in the air (somewhere above Pennsylvania I believe) and to be able to be fully connected to the world. The more I thought about this concept of being "fully connected" I realized that many of us are connected to others yet we are less connected to ourselves.
I love technology and what it has done for our business, our industry and our lives yet we run the risk at times of losing ourselves in the process. That's why it is so important to have coaches and mentors to guide us along the path of personal development and personal & business achievement.
In this day of super technology (with more on the way) many REALTORS are substituting technology for face to face or person to person contact. Our research indicates that a balance of both is important to fulfilling our promises (goals) in business. Sending emails is great. So is Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Blogs, etc., however all of those means of communications are greatly enhanced with a personal contact (a follow up phone call).
One of the great joys of being the CEO of Real Estate Inner Circle is the ability to watch real estate professionals of all types flourish and grow. Technology is and should be a part of that...so is good old fashioned talking to people. Remember, websites and blogs don't sell homes, agents do. In the upcoming weeks you will see more information on our dynamic new program called Social Media For Real Estate Professionals. It will help you find the right mix of technology, social networking and lead generation to help you grow your business. You can learn more at www.realestateinnercircle.net.
From the skies over Pennsylvania (I think)...
